An abundance of finches this year is making bird watching a delight at Parry’s.  The native grasses are in abundance after the wet providing excellent conditions for them.

The East Kimberley is experiencing wonderful dry season weather, beautiful one day perfect the next.  Come and experience the Kimberley, it is only going to get better.


Parry Creek Farm Bird Watching

We all have the pleasure of waking up each morning to the sound of the birds, an abundance of finches this year is very exciting and all reports from the Marlglu Billabong is that there are lots to see out there as well.  Gouldian Finches are showing themselves in and around Wyndham Town, Great places to see are behind the Swimming Pool and in front of the Shire Offices. Parrys has also sighted finches on the property this year.


Parry Creek Farm Road is Graded

The Shire have finished grading the road from the highway to our turn off so nice smooth driving early in the season we are getting lots of people out for a drive dropping in for home made cakes and coffee and tea/ mango and banana smoothies.


Parry Creek Farm Banana Fritters

The best banana fritters in the Kimberley, come and try our home grown banana  fritters, the flavour is fantastic, also this year home made sticky date pudding, best we have ever made is available on our menu, check out our schnitzel night, camp oven night and soon to be on the menu Asian night, along with the wood fired pizza and fish and chips nights.


Parry Creek Farm Open

Parry’s is open for the 2012 season, the road is suitable for high clearance and 4WD, and we are awaiting the road to dry out enough to have it graded, The restaurant is open 7 days per week, and the camping grounds are lush and green after our wet season rains, look forward to seeing you all here during the year.

Parry Creek Farm

With the continued dry weather the wet lands are slowly drying up, we are confident that we will be able to open for Easter but still awaiting the Shire to open our road.

We are almost there, the road is drying quickly,  Marlglu Billabong is looking spectacular, the creeks and rivers are all dropping so the feel is that the dry season is almost upon us.


Parry Creek Farm Sunshine and Cool Weather

We awakened today to a perfect sunny day, lots of sightings of lots of birds, the roads are drying up and we are living in hope that the wet weather has finally gone. Ken and Anne have arrived back for the 3rd year to run the restaurant, so lots of tasty ideas happening there, Sunday  night is still Camp Oven Night with Ken providing the entertainment around the camp fire, we are just waiting for the dry weather and a few less bugs to get that going once we are open. Home made scones will also be on the menu again this year.
