Wet Season in the Kimberley

Torrential downpours usually occur from December to March, the wet season – also called ‘The Wet’.

Wet season at Parry Creek Farm offers you a rare opportunity to see the Kimberley area at it best, with magpie geese, brolgas, whistling ducks, cattle egrets and so much more nesting on the flood plains.

During the Wet, the Boabs are in leaf and flowering and all the native shrubs are in flower. The spectacular lightning storms of the Kimberley wet are one of natures best magic shows.

Expect the temperature to hover around the mid 30s, with the occasional 40 degree day thrown in for good measure.

Most of the water is quickly absorbed by the earth, however we do recommend 4WD vehicles in the December to March time frame. From April to September 2WD vehicles are sufficient.

Bookings for the wet season are welcome, subject to road conditions at the time.
