Marlgu Billabong Bird Hide Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve Ramsar Wetlands

The bird hide built buy the Department of Parks and Wildlife provides a safe, shady and comfortable place to watch life on a East Kimberley Billabong, it is also wheel chair accessible. The Billabong and Bird hide can be seen from Telegraph hill and is only 15 minutes drive from Parry Creek Farm.  There are over 200 species of birds that live in the area, the Billabong supports a large population of birds through the dry season as well as fresh water and salt water crocodiles, (be croc aware while in the Kimberley region). The road is seasonal and we recommend that you check with Parks and Wildlife in the early part of the season to confirm road conditions. Marlgu Billabong also has a most spectacular display of Water Lillie’s. The attached photo was taken at sunrise, we highly recommend the experience.
